About our Wala Animal Sanctuary Challenge – OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Never before has our world been so saturated with images. Everyone has access to a camera, whether it’s on their phone, a point & shoot, or a DSLR. Wala Animal Sanctuary Inc. is a not for profit organisation, located in Smythes Creek, and has been dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of Australia’s unique wildlife for over 15 years.
Started on a love to protect these beautiful animals, it has now developed into a passion to preserve them so that all future generations will be able to enjoy these unique creatures in their natural surrounds.
Local impact
Wala Animal Sanctuary rescues animals right across Western Victoria – including animals that have been abused, neglected or abandoned, both farm and domestic animals – and nurses them back to health for re-release or re-homing. You can help by creating images to help raise awareness of this great local organisation. Or if you’re a friend or family member of one of the students involved in this project, you can help by sharing the images, starting a conversation on or offline, or donating!
Even more importantly, you now know who to call if you come across an animal in need of rescuing and you have the knowledge to say something if you know of an animal in danger.
