About the Organisation of the Month: Fifteen Trees

Fifteen Trees has been around for a while now (7 years) and is growing! To date, Fifteen Trees has helped plant over 85,000 trees across Australia and New Zealand. While most of our customers are Australian, we can call ourselves truly international, with customers from the UK and the USA.

Established in 2009, the company operates with 2 women at the helm along with a host of native nurseries and community groups.

In brief, people/companies purchase trees through Fifteen Trees for community groups to plant. The community groups source their trees from local nurseries and once the trees have been planted, send through photos and narrative to Fifteen Trees for inclusion on their website. Those who have paid for the trees can then view photos their trees and read about the group who has planted them.

Roughly, 15 trees planted every year will reduce the carbon emissions of your car. In return for your purchase of 15 trees, you receive a car sticker (Yeah! I’m carbon neutral) and a link to your trees (once planted).

At present, community groups are enjoying the long wet growing season and would love to be able to get more trees ‘in the ground’. To support their projects, contact Fifteen Trees or check out the website
