About our Phoenix Photography Challenges with Heart

(Please note: This challenge is for the students of Phoenix P-12 connect program only)

Never before has our world been so saturated with images. Everyone has access to a camera, whether it’s on their phone, a point & shoot, or a DSLR. This time round we partnered with the students of Phoenix P-12 Community College in Ballarat for our Photography Challenges with Heart & asked them to create image that will help raise awareness of The Wala Animal Sanctuary

If you’d like to help the students raise awareness, and prove creativity can help make the world a better place, please like, share to social media, or take a moment to donate via the box on the left hand side. Even a dollar helps!

Watch the video above for this month’s brief, start shooting and join us to shoot for change!

Start Date:  01 May 2017

End Date:  2 July

About the Organisation you are supporting: The Wala Animal Sanctuary

Wala Animal Sanctuary Inc. is a not for profit organisation, located in Smythes Creek, and has been dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of Australia’s unique wildlife for over 15 years.

Started on a love to protect these beautiful animals, it has now developed into a passion to preserve them so that all future generations will be able to enjoy these unique creatures in their natural surrounds.

Local impact

Wala Animal Sanctuary rescues animals right across Western Victoria – including animals that have been abused, neglected or abandoned, both farm and domestic animals – and nurses them back to health for re-release or re-homing. You can help by creating images to help raise awareness of this great local organisation. Or if you’re a friend or family member of one of the students involved in this project, you can help by sharing the images, starting a conversation on or offline, or donating!

Even more importantly, you now know who to call if you come across an animal in need of rescuing and you have the knowledge to say something if you know of an animal in danger.
